Your power ingredient, BAKING SODA! This will help to absorb any ordor and catch any dirt that may be locked into the mattress.

Along with baking soda you will also need:
1. a toothbrush
2. a small bowl of luke warm water
3. mild washing detergent
4. a clean, dry towel
5. a spoon
6. and a vaccum (perferably one with an upholestry attatched to it)

To start, strip the mattress of all linens. Then take a moment to scan the mattress for any stains or spots that may be present. If there are stains, this is where the toothbrush, warm water, and detergent comes into play. Take a cap full of the detergent and pour it into the water. Grab your spoon and begin to vigorously stir the water until bubbles have formed. Then, take the toothbrush and dip it into the bubbled detergent. Begin to scrub away the stain with the toothbrush using circular motions. If the stain is fairly large you may want to use a scrub brush instead. Once the stain is removed pat the wet spot dry using your towel.

Now grab hold of the baking soda and evenly sprinkle it onto the mattress. To experience the full power of the baking soda, allow it to sit on the mattress for at least 30-45 minutes. Once the baking soda has sat, it's time to get the vaccum. Take the upholestry piece of the vaccum (if there is one attached, that is) and begin to vaccum away the baking soda. Be sure to get all creases of the mattress. Baking soda can get itchy! When all of the baking soda is removed your mattress cleaning duties are complete. Simply grab some clean fresh sheets and lay down to enjoy your newly revitalized mattress. To maintain a nice clean mattress, try to perform a cleaning cycle at least once every 3 months.
