Microwaves have been part of our day-to-day lives since they were introduced into the market. Suddenly and "magically" we could heat our milk in the morning without the hassle of over boiling it on a clean stove (argh!) or simply reheat dinner when arriving late from work. We don't think about other ways of reheating food anymore, we just grab the dish and aim to the device. Sometimes it's so much non-stop use of the microwave that in a blink of an eye it is filthy with burnt tomato sauce, full of crusts, spills, oils, and other food. The very easy way to clean microwave is with natural products and non-chemical ones.

How to clean microwave with lemon:

1. Get a measuring cup and pour half cup of water inside.

2. Extract the juice of one lemon into the water and drop the halves in there too.

3. Set the microwave in high for three minutes. The water will boil!

4. Let it stay still inside for five minutes after it stops the cycle without opening the microwave door. This will release a steam that will soften the crusts and old dry and burnt food inside the microwave.

5. Open the door and using a kitchen mitt, gingerly remove the cup. 

6. Remove the turntable if you have one and wipe it with a cloth or paper towel and set aside.

7. Using a soft cloth or soft paper towel wipe the whole inside of the microwave starting with the ceiling and going down to the walls and then the floor. For hard to get off crusts, dip a cloth on the hot water and scrub it a little. It will all come out.

8. To finish it with a nice shine, wipe it all again with rubbing alcohol inside and outside.

How to clean microwave with vinegar:

1. Get a measuring cup and pour one cup of water inside and one cup of vinegar.

2. Set the microwave in high for 10 minutes. The water will boil!
