The majority of us forget that the dishwasher needs to be cleaned. We remember to clean the refrigerator, the oven and other smaller kitchen appliances but we often neglect the dishwasher. 1. Take out the dishwasher filter and soak it in the sink with hot water, 2 cups of vinegar and a bit of soap. Let it soak there for 20 minutes.
2. Meanwhile get a soft cloth and damp it in the same solution of soap and vinegar and wipe all door edges. Specially underneath it. That area tends to collect a lot of stuff! Use the same solution to clean the outside of the door and buttons.
3. Wash the filter that was soaking, in clean water and put it back where it belongs.
4. Throw 1 cup of vinegar on the bottom of the dishwasher and set it to the strongest cycle.
5. After the cycle is finished, shake some baking soda on the bottom of the dishwasher and let it sit for at least 6 hours. it's better to do it from one day to another. Then, set the cycle to the strongest one again and let it do it's job.
